Uncertainty Toolbox™ comes with one year FREE UPGRADES to newer versions, after that, users must purchase the annual "Update Subscription Service". If you wish to upgrade from a previous version and have not taken advantage of our "Update Subscription Service", you can purchase the latest version at the listed "Upgrade Cost" value, found on the "How to Order" page.
Support is provided FREE to all licensed users. It is limited to telephone and email and is focused on installation and operation issues of Uncertainty Toolbox™. Assistance in uncertainty analysis concepts can be contracted on an hourly (telephone) or daily (on-site) rate basis. Call QUAMETEC for details at 1-810-225-8588.
Training Viewlets
These are online slide shows with audio which demonstrate the software. Additional training viewlets are in development and will be posted here when completed. If you are a user or interesting in Uncertainty Toolbox™, you may want to watch these viewlets. These viewlets contains AUDIO. If you have speakers, you should turn them on for these presentations.

QUAMETEC provides no warranty on the technical correctness of the sample analyses with respect to your measurements.We are in process of updating this video to the latest version, although this video is still very applicable to assisting the new user understand how to use the software efficiently.
Upgrades
Uncertainty Toolbox™ is periodically updated to facilitate greater efficiency and function. Typically, we release two updates per year. Subscription holders can update for FREE. Contact QUAMETEC to acquire a subscription after your initial period expires if you wish to continue receiving software upgrades without paying any "Upgrade Cost" fee.

Uncertainty Toolbox™ Version: 2.83 Revision Date APR-2008
(Version 2.83 fixes Workbook Copy errors and adds a Copy Validation Window. It also eliminates the tab naming limitations that affected all previous versions. )
Version 2.83:
Fixes: The workbook copy data to new templates feature was having problems with some older version templates. This has been fixed. Please report any problems encountered with this version to James Jenkins at 586-775-5495 M-F 9-5 EST. Thank you.
New Features: The User Manual has been updated with new guidance and information for use in the performance of computing measurement uncertainties making best use of the new features provided in the 2.8x series. This version provides fixes for issues found in V2.82.
The 2.8x Versions provide a re-design of the "templates" system that is significantly different than all previous versions prior to 2.8. In V2.8 and above, each template is a stand alone file. User settings are now kept in the file named "UserData.xls" to allow multiple users to use the same templates with individual preferences regarding pre-population of information into imported template copies. This was done to facilitate the implementation of a network version to be released as part of the upcoming Version 3. Only the network version will fully facilitate a multple user scenario sharing one set of templates controlled by one Master Password.
Vista and Excel 2007 compatibility has been added, therefore the software is now fully compatible with any version of Windows that will run Excel 2000 to 2007.
We are currently trying to add all the additional features we have in mind for improving our software prior to releasing Version 3, which will include the database abilities.
One major improvement we have implemented is the ability to update analyses created with any version of the software all the way back to our first version with the click of a single button. With sales of our software steadily increasing, we are re-investing in the software to make the best even better! Watch for more updates to come!
COMING SOON:
Uncertainty Toolbox™ Version 2.9, to be released next, will provide an "I/O" Template that will allow the laboratory analyst to create analyses and hide all the calculation sheets leaving a single custom designed INPUT/OUTPUT form for users to enter specifed values and get the calculated result, all on the single sheet. This will be released prior to Version 3.
Uncertainty Toolbox™ Version 3.0. This version will incorporate a database of analyses, users, procedures, data reports, and measuring equipment to provide a more organized method of meeting ISO17025 accreditation requirements.
This is NOT a demo or freeware, this software will NOT install without a VALID license number from Quametec! CALL 1-810-225-8588 (9 am to 5 pm EST) to purchase a license.
New Licensed Users: Once you have received your License Number, download Uncertainty Toolbox™. Run the Install Program and enter your License Number when prompted. Activate the Uncertainty Toolbox™ Help System from the Icon on your desktop and view the training viewlet listed above on this webpage for help in operating the software.
All Licensed Users: For users within the one year of FREE updates, or those who have renewed their "Update Subscription Service". To update your software to the latest version, download Uncertainty Toolbox™ Update. Run the Uninstall for your current version first. Ensure that the "UncertaintyApp.xla" file and any "UncertaintyApp.bak" files are deleted.
Prior to installing new version, with older version uninstalled, open Excel, go to Addins and deselect "UncertaintyApp". Excel will ask if you want to remove it from the list, answer "yes". Close and reopen Excel to ensure that the connection to the uninstalled addin is completely disconnected.
Then, run the Install Program and enter your License Number when prompted. Your License Number will work for upgrades for at least one year from your purchase date, (if you received the software in one of our "Measurement Uncertainty Analysis" Classes, your purchase date is the date on your course certificate.
NOTE: Do NOT run this install with older version still installed. You must follow the steps above to ensure that the current version is completely removed prior to installing this version.
