About the Instructor: James D. Jenkins
- James received several years of formal training in metrology and electronics in the military, qualified to perform calibration on 36 different equipment categories. Successfully completed 14 different military electronics and calibration courses including advanced electronics and component level troubleshooting. In 1984 deemed qualified by U.S. Navy to perform Calibration Quality Assurance Inspections.
- James has over 25 years experience in Metrology. Experienced in the calibration of numerous devices in numerous disciplines of measurement, including general industrial Electronic/Electrical and Physical/Dimensional devices. Positions held includes Laboratory Technical Manager, Laboratory Quality Manager, Corporate Quality Manager, Technical Instructor, and Metrology Engineering Consultant. Over 10 years experience in instructing classes in Metrology, Electronic Troubleshooting and Repair, Measurement Uncertainty Analysis, Statistical Process Control, ISO Guide 25, ISO/IEC17025 & ISO9000.
- James has assisted hundreds of laboratories in successful accreditation to ISO/IEC17025. Developed and implemented numerous Laboratory Management Systems in compliance to ISO/IEC17025, Z-540-1, ISO Guide 25, and ISO 9000.
- James is a member of the American Society for Quality and a delegate member of NCSLI, Past Chairman of the NCSLI Accreditation Resources Committee. Member of the Laboratory Accreditation Bureau's Technical Advisory Group and A2LA's Measurement Advisory Committee.
- He is the programmer and developer of Uncertainty Toolbox™ and the author of the handbook; "Measurement Uncertainty Analysis Fundamentals".
- He is also the founder and President of the Quametec Corporation.
